Shelley Miles

Shelley Miles has spent her career leading the growth and development of consumer-based entertainment and technology businesses. Miles brings a unique mix of business development, marketing, technology and financial experience to her work.

Miles served as the COO of Donate My Card, which allowed consumer to donate the balances on gift cards to charities. She built partnership relationships with organizations like Girl Scouts of Greater LA, ALS Foundation, National Kidney Foundation, March or Dimes among others.

As part of the start-up team for kidthing, Shelley led the marketing team, creating the award-winning website, creating several partner and marketing relationships, and solidifying kidthing’s position in the educational community through programs such as NEA’s Read Across America and Dear Mr. President. Her work creating the Dear Mr. President program has been featured in the MBA program at CU Boulder.

At Mommy & Me, she created and built the Mommy & Me Association, the first ever national organization for playgroups and the Mommy & Me website, which provides parents with the nation’s largest Playgroup Directory and a database of over 2000 activities, lesson plans and articles. The Mommy & Me Association is dedicated to providing resources, support and recognition for playgroup organizers and participants. She has initiated and grown relationships with key marketing partners including Zero To Three, Parents Action for Children, Nestle and The Parenting group. As President of USAnimation, which created the Emmy winning, leading 2-D animation software, she brought the company to the number 1 position in the industry. While at USAnimation, she served on the steering committee that founded Women in Animation.

Prior to USAnimation, Miles launched Disney Software; the predecessor to Disney Interactive, where she spearheaded the toddler/ preschool software category and oversaw Disney’s licensed videogame business, winning 23 industry awards including GamePlayer’s Game of the Year, Best Graphics in a Video Game, Parents Choice, and numerous others. She also led Disney’s worldwide record and music publishing organizations achieving 15 gold and five platinum sales awards. While at Disney Records, she served on the RIAA board. Miles was a founding board member of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House.
