Bill Walles

Bill has over 20 years of operational and executive experience, covering every significant phase in starting and running a successful business. A professional with a deep skill set in the latest technologies as well as legal, business, engineering, and technical areas. Expertise in emerging internet and entertainment business models including social networks, user-generated content, and interactive entertainment.

Bill was an executive in strategy and operations at Ford Motor Company for 10 years, including managing business planning for advanced manufacturing technology development. He joined an Internet start-up, Internet Operations Center, Inc. (IOC) in 1998, which quickly became profitable under Bill's leadership as President.

Bill holds a Master's Degree in Engineering Management from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University, which he attended as a General Motors Scholar. Bill is also a veteran of the United States Navy having served from 1979 to 1985.

Bill has since consulted for many other for-profit and non-profit business ventures. Bill focuses on strategic and analytic consulting services including financial model development, business process design, operations, information technology strategy, as well as comprehensive management consulting.

Bill has been appointed by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa as a Board Member of the Los Angeles Workforce Investment Board for 2011 to 2013
